On 8 July 2022, Ambassador Witchu Vejjajiva and Colonel Nontapol Attanand, Defence and Army Attaché and Chief of Thai Liaison Group to United Nations Command, along with members of Team Thailand in Seoul, visited the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and were briefed by Commander Andrew Tam, Head of Education and Orientation Section, United Nations Command Military Armistice Commission (UNCMAC), on the administration of the DMZ, the work of the UNCMAC in the Joint Security Area (JSA), and the current situation on the Korean Peninsula, during their visit to the DMZ.
