On 8 April 2021, H.E. Ms. Rommanee Kananurak, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Korea (ROK), as the Chair of ASEAN Committee in Seoul (ACS) in January – June 2021, hosted a luncheon in honor of Secretary General Lee Hyuk of the ASEAN-Korea Centre who will soon be retiring from his position. A plaque of appreciation from the ACS was also presented to Secretary General Lee in recognition of his dedication to the promotion of ROK’s cooperation with ASEAN during his term. On this occasion, Secretary General Lee stated that he was honored to have worked with all the Embassies of the ASEAN Member States during such important time and that he will continue to play a role in promoting ASEAN-ROK ties even after his retirement. The Ambassadors (or Chargé d' Affaires) of all ASEAN Member States in the ROK, as well as the representative of the ASEAN and Southeast Asian Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the ROK, were also present in Secretary General Lee’s honor.
