On 29 March 2024, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul, and Mrs. Kanticha Laicharernkit, Consul, together with Miss Wichaya Sinthusen and the Passport Division team from the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, attended a hybrid meeting to get a briefing on “Passport Renewal Online Application Service," which was organised by Mr. Yoo Dongwan, the Director of Passport Division and the Passport Division team, Consular Affairs and Safety Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. In the future when the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand operates the Passport Renewal Online Application Service, it is expected that this service will facilitate Thai nationals who are living abroad to apply for new passports more quickly and conveniently.

On 9 April 2024, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul, welcomed a delegation from the Institute of Security Psychology of the Defence Technology Institute. On this occasion, the Chargé d’Affaires provided a presentation on the longstanding relations and multifaceted cooperation between both countries, and exchanged views with the delegation on a variety of pathways to enhance cooperation, including in the economic, education, and labour dimensions.

On 5 April 2024, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul, together with other 16 Ambassadors of United Nations Command (UNC) member states, was invited by the Minister of National Defense of the ROK, H.E. Shin Won-sik, to discuss ways to promote peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, which was organized at the Ministry of Defense Convention Center in Seoul.

On 27 March 2024, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul, welcomed H.E. Sutin Klungsang, Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Thailand, and General Sanitchanog Sangkachantra, Permanent Secretary for Defence, and delegation on the occasion of their official visit to the Republic of Korea. On this occasion, the Minister of Defence laid a wreath at the War Memorial of Korea to honour the Thai servicemen who paid the ultimate sacrifice during the Korean War and paid an official call on H.E. Shin Won-sik, Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Korea, to discuss avenues to expand and deepen defence and security cooperation between both countries, as well as in elevating the synergies between their respective defence industries. During the trip, the Minister of Defence also met with Korean private sector companies to discuss cooperation to increase the capabilities of the Royal Thai Armed Forces and in strengthening the Thai defence industry.

On 25 March 2024, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Charge d'affaires, a.i. (CDA) of the Royal Thai Embassy held discussions with Mr. Puripan Bunnag, Senior Vice President of TCEB and his delegation during their visit to the ROK to host TCEB’s Thailand MICE Roadshow, which provided a business matching opportunity for Thai and Korean companies in the MICE industry. Both sides exchanged views on the possibility of increasing activities between TCEB and the ROK, as TCEB has made the ROK one of its priority markets. CDA Bancha also delivered welcoming remarks at the dinner reception of TCEB’s Thailand MICE Roadshow at the Westin Josun Hotel on 26 March 2024, where he emphasized Thailand’s strengths as a MICE destination, and the importance of the Korean market, reflected by the number of Korean inbound tourists ranking 3rd highest in Thailand in 2023.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives is organizing the Royal Ploughing Ceremony (Phuech Mongkol Day) at Sanam Luang on Wednesday, May 17th, 2023, with the Rice Grains Blessing Ceremony will take place one day prior on Tuesday, May 16th. The ceremony will be broadcast via the Television Pool of Thailand.
