During 19–20 July 2026, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, welcomed H.E. Mr. Julapun Amornvivat, Minister of Labour of Thailand, and senior executives from the Ministry of Labour during their visit to the ROK. The visit aimed to expand employment opportunities for Thai workers, follow up on the protection and welfare of Thai workers, strengthen bilateral labour cooperation, and engage with Korean private-sector companies employing Thai nationals.

On 22 July 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, in collaboration with the Board of Investment of Thailand, the Korea Medical Devices Association, the Korea Medical Devices Industry Association, and the National Innovation Agency and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, The Korea Herald, and Bangkok Bank, hosted the “Thailand-Korea Business Forum: Biohealth, Medtech, Wellness, and Future Food." This event was attended by over 200 representatives from government agencies, the private sector, educational institutions, and associations, as well as investors and businessmen from Thailand and the ROK.
Distinguished guests from both countries joined in the forum. H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, delivered the opening remarks, followed by Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, gave the keynote address on “Driving Thailand Towards Medical and Wellness Innovation Hub". Mrs. Uthaiwan Wattanasuwakul, Director of the Competitiveness Enhancement Division and Acting Investment Advisor (Senior Policy and Planning Analyst) of the Board of Investment of Thailand, also gave the keynote address on "Investment Opportunities in Thailand and Supporting Policies for the Medical and Healthcare Industry", Mr. Lee Young Gyu, President of the Korea Medical Devices Association, and Mr. Kim YoungMin, President of the Korea Medical Devices Industry Association, also offered congratulatory remarks.
During this event, the speakers from Thailand and the ROK agencies shared best practices on investing in Thailand and introduced investment and business opportunities in Thailand, particularly in the fields of biohealth, medtech, wellness, and future food. In addition, exhibition booths from several leading Thai public and private sectors, for instance, the Board of Investment of Thailand, Eastern Economic Corridor Office, and Seoul-Thailand Startup and Innovation Space (STSiS) were present for providing information and advice to Korean businesses and investors.
On the same day, the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, together with the Board of Investment of Thailand, organised a 1-on-1 meeting between more than 50 Thai and ROK agencies and companies to establish business networks, which will lead to new opportunities for the further development and expansion of economic cooperation in these four areas.

On 23 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Republic of Korea, led Ambassadors and representatives from the ASEAN Committtee in Seoul (ACS) on a joint courtesy call on Mr. Cha Yong-ho, Commissioner of the Korea Immigration Service (KIS) at Naru Hotel McGallery, Seoul. The joint courtesy call served as an opportunity for both sides to exchange ideas on how to foster closer collaboration, especially on immigration issues and the protection of ASEAN nationals in the Republic of Korea, as well as the protection of human rights.
Ambassador Tanee raised the issue of refusals for entry into the Republic of Korea for Thai nationals and reiterated his recommendations for KIS to make the Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) application process more stringent, in lieu of refusals for entry on arrival.

On 19 June 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, organized a merit-making ceremony dedicated to Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Kromluangrajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhita, on the occasion of the seventh day of Her Royal Highness the Princess’s passing, and a ceremony to pay tribute and a condolence book signing ceremony. The ceremonies were presided over by H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Thai Ambassador to the ROK. Heads and officials of Team Thailand in Seoul, their spouses, and the Thai community participated in this event at the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul.
