Minister Bancha participates in the 75th Anniversary Commemoration of UNC Establishment in the ROK
On 8 July 2025, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, together with Ambassadors and representatives from 22 countries, including Thailand, that fought or provided medical support to the United Nations Command (UNC), during the Korean war, were invited by Lieutenant General Derek A. Macaulay, Deputy Commander of the UNC to participate in the 75th Anniversary Commemoration of UNC Establishment of the UNC, held at the UNC Headquarters at USAG Humphreys, Pyeongtaek in Gyeonggi Province. The ceremony featured by UNC member flag-raising ceremony, firing of
21-gun salute and a reception.
Minister Bancha greeted Mr. Lee Hee-wan, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs of the ROK, who was the guest of honor at the event, and requested his support for the renovation project of the Thai Pavilion in Pocheon, which was built to commemorate the sacrifice and bravery of Thai veterans during the Korean War, to which the Vice Minister kindly showed his interest. Minister Bancha also visited the Thai Honor Guard on duty at the UNC, who also raised the flags of the UNC member states at today’s event.
