On 27 April 2021 Ms. Rommanee Kananurak, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, paid a visit to Mr. Sohn Kyung-shik, Chairman of CJ Group and the Korea Enterprises Federation, to seek CJ’s interest in further expanding its business in Thailand. CJ Logistics entered into business in Thailand since 1998 and in 2019, the company established the “CJ Logistics Smart Hub Bangna” parcel distribution center in Bangkok, which is the largest logistics hub in Thailand. Moreover, CJ E&M also established a partnership with Major Corporation on film production, and with True Corporation on providing broadcast contents in Thailand. CJ Foods has also continually provided food business and services in Thailand, especially processed food products. On this occasion, Chairman Sohn expressed good sentiments towards Thailand and expressed his readiness to consider expanding CJ’s investment in Thailand in the future.
