On 21 January 2022, H.E. Ms. Rommanee Kananurak, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, along with ambassadors and chargé d'affaires of ASEAN countries to the ROK, attended a meeting with Mr. Choi Jong-kun, First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the ROK to exchange views on outcomes of the NSP so far and ways to strengthen ASEAN-ROK cooperation. Vice Minister Choi emphasized that the NSP has become the center of the ROK’s foreign policy and has also gained interest from European and US partners. The ROK’s commitment to ASEAN has been demonstrated by its financial contributions to cooperation projects in ASEAN under the NSP in various areas such as trade and investment, health, digital economy, which have increased every year. Ambassadors and chargé d'affaires of ASEAN countries expressed appreciation to the ROK for its continued support and hope to see this cooperation continue after the ROK presidential election this March.
