Effective from 27 September 2021, Foreign nationals with a legal/permanent residence in South Korea or foreign nationals entered South Korea with (K-ETA) an entry stamp/ sticker upon arrival who wish to apply for Thai visa must submit his/her application through the new online E-Visa platform at http://thaievisa.go.th.(Eligible for all nationalities)
Please note that it is no longer required for applicant to submit his/her passport and original supporting documents in person at the Royal Thai Embassy/Consulate.
Applicants must be residing in the Republic of Korea on the date of visa application submission. Please note that consular officers reserve the right to cancel or reject visa applications if the applicants are not residing in the Republic of Korea at the time of submission.

Important notice for Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) applications
1.For business activities, employment or exploratory visits related to potential business opportunities in Thailand, please apply for a Non-Immigrant B visa.
2. If the child of a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) holder intends to pursue education in Thailand, they are required to apply for a Non-Immigrant ED visa.
How to apply for a visa
- Choose Apply for a new visa
- Choose your nationality(Travel Document Holder of), current location, passport type, and purpose of visit
- Fill in the application [First Name, Middle Name(if none, leave it blank), Family Name(if none, , leave it blank), Date of Birth, Passport Number, Date of Issue and Expiry,
All information should be identical to your passport. Application with wrong information is non-revisable and non-refundable, thus may be rejected and result in reapplication.]

- Upload your passport (Auto scan detected; Please check your information after the scan.) and portrait photo taken within last 6 months
- Fill in information
- Upload supporting documents (limit size to Max. 3 MB of file type JPG or PDF)
- Make a payment online (Although Korean nationals are exempt from paying visa fees, it is required to click payment button.)
- Submit your application
- Wait for a feedback of document screening
- Check email inbox and visa status
- Pending approval
Applicants may check the result and receive their visa via email or Thai E-Visa system. (Print out the visa confirmation to present to the airport/airline or Thai immigration officers)

In case there are further documents required, the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, will contact and request the documents via E-mail filled by applicants on visa applications
After all the documents are completed, applicants may wait for their approval notice.
After the E-Visa application has been approved, a confirmation E-mail will be sent to applicants or applicants can check the Visa approval letters by themselves on Thai E-Visa website. Kindly print out a copy of Thai E-Visa approval documents to present to the airline and Thai immigration officials when traveling to Thailand.

This TDAC will replace the traditional paper TM6 Form.
From 1 May 2025 onwards, foreigners who travel to Thailand will have to fill in the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) registration at https://tdac.immigration.go.th website within 3 days before the date of arrival in Thailand.
How to extend or change a visa
Those who wish to extend their periods of stay or wish to change their types of visa must file an application for permission at the Office of Immigration Bureau in Thailand.
Please be advised that the extension of periods of stay and the change of visa type are solely at the discretion of the Immigration officer.

Additional Requirements
Nationals of certain countries are required to apply for a visa only at the Thai Embassy or Consulate-General in their home/residence country or at the designated Thai Embassy. Therefore, travelers are advised to contact the nearest Thai Embassy or Consulate-General to find out where they may apply for a visa to Thailand before departure.
