On 20 February 2024, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Charge d'affaires, a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul attended the 2024 Activities Kick-off Event of the World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO), an organization dedicated to the transformation of cities into smart sustainable cities. WeGO’s priorities for 2024 include various knowledge-sharing activities all of which are available to interested countries, such as consultation services, providing solutions, training programs, capacity building programs, and R&D projects.

 

In 2010, Bangkok was one of the founding members of WeGO. At present, WeGO has over 202 members consisting of local governments and corporations from around the world.
