On September 12 2023, Mr. Kim Jeong-kee, CEO of CityNet paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, to discuss potential cooperation between CityNet and concerned agencies in Thailand. CityNet was established in 1987 with the support of UNESCAP, UNDP and UN-Habitat, and carries out consultation and customized projects for developing sustainable cities worldwide through three thematic areas: Climate Change, Disaster, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). CityNet hopes to be able to increase cooperation with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, which has been a member of CityNet for over 30 years, while at the same time expand cooperation to other cities in Thailand. The Ambassador expressed readiness to support CityNet and will inform concerned Thai agencies, as well as to engage in further discussions with CityNet on potential areas of city-development cooperation.
