On 25 April 2026, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, was invited by the Thai community in Ansan to preside over the opening ceremony of the event entitled “My Songkran: Vibrant Thai Colors, Happiness Across the World” at the Ansan Multicultural Family Support Center. The event was well attended by members of the Thai and Korean communities, as well as representatives from the Thai Cultural Council of the ROK, the Nuad Thai Volunteer Association of the ROK, and the Thai Women’s Council of the ROK, with approximately 150 participants in total.

On 24 April 2026, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, alongside Dr. Min Byung-chul, Founder and Chairman of the Sunfull Foundation, led the ASEAN Committee in Seoul, composed of ASEAN Ambassadors or representatives accredited to the Republic of Korea, on a visit to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. (SMPA) On this occasion, Mr. Park Jeong-bo, Commissioner of the SMPA, appointed Ambassador Tanee as well as Dr. Min and members of the Sunfull Foundation, as Honorary Advisors of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's International Cooperation Advisory Committee. The SMPA also provided a tour of the ACS, covering the Agency's simulated shooting range, the Integrated Traffic and CCTV Command Centre, and the 112 Emergency Incidents Centre. Ambassador Tanee reiterated the Royal Thai Embassy's firm belief and trust in SMPA’s role in protecting ASEAN communities in Seoul and pledged to foster closer collaboration and greater trust between both sides.

On 9 April 2026, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROk, extended his encouragement and assistance to a Thai worker who sustained serious injuries after being physically assaulted by a Korean employer. On this occasion, the Ambassador presented a fruit basket and facilitated consular services, including a passport and a national identification card, to ensure that the injured individual could proceed with necessary documentation.
