On 24 April 2024, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador-designate of Thailand to the ROK visited the Office of Commercial Affairs (also known as Thai Trade Center, Seoul or TTC) and received a briefing on Thai-ROK trade relations and TTC’s activities by Ms. Chananya Punnarugsa, Director of TTC. Both sides discussed ways to further promote Thai businesses in the ROK, in which the Ambassador-designate highlighted promotion of Thai soft power and startups as potential areas that should be further explored. Particular emphasis was also given to the importance of making full use of festivals/exhibitions organized by both the Royal Thai Embassy and Korean agencies as platforms for raising awareness for Thai products, artists/entrepreneurs, and SMEs.
