On 23 April 2024, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador-designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Korea, visited the Office of the Defence/Army Attaché in Seoul and received a briefing on the key mission and duties of the Office by Colonel Nontapol Attanand, Defence/Army Attaché, and Lt. Colonel Kittikun Suksutthi, Liaison Officer to the United Nations Command (UNC). On this occasion, the Ambassador-designate and the Defence/Army Attaché exchanged views on the pathways to elevate defence cooperation between Thailand and the ROK, including in the development of Thailand’s defence industry and Thailand’s continued role as an important part of the UNC.
Later on in the day, the Ambassador-designate visited the Office of the Air Attaché, where he received a briefing on the key mission and duties of the Office by Deputy Defence/Air Attaché Group Captain Pongchat Phansri. The Ambassador-designate also took this opportunity to meet with Captain Panya Chatpaiboon, Acting Naval Attaché (residence in Tokyo) during his official duty in Seoul.
