On 15 June 2024, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, hosted a working lunch in honor of Air Chief Marshall Sakesan Kantha, Chief of the Air Staff, Royal Thai Air Force and his delegation at the Ambassador’s Residence on the occasion of his official visit to the ROK as head of the delegation to inspect the progress on Phase 4 of Thailand’s T-50 trainer jet programme with the ROK.

Both sides discussed the pathways to elevate defence cooperation between Thailand and the ROK, especially in developing their respective defence industries, as well as the latest security challenges on the Korean Peninsula and Thailand’s continued role as part of the United Nations Command (UNC).
