On 11 December 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Colonel Itt Thippayachan, Defence and Army Attaché, and Group Captain Sorapat Petchmongkol, Deputy Defence and Air Attaché, participated in a repatriation ceremony for the ashes of Reserve Sergeant (Navy) Manoch Pummaneekorn and Private Narong Yeamniyom, two Thai Korean War Veterans at Incheon International Airport. H.E. Kang Yun-jin, Vice Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs of the Republic Korea, represented the ROK Government and officially welcomed the ashes.

The Embassy, in partnership with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs and the UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea (UNMCK), will organise an interment ceremony for the ashes of both veterans on 12 December 2025 at the UNMCK in Busan.
