On 18 November 2020, H.E. Ms. Rommanee Kananurak, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Korea, handed over the exequatur to Mr. Park Myung-jin, which authorizes him to perform duty as the Honorary Consul of Thailand in Busan, with jurisdiction over Busan, Ulsan, Daegu, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Gyeongsangbuk-do.

Ambassador Rommanee congratulated Mr. Park on his appointment as Honorary Consul of Thailand in Busan, which is a position of honour, entrusted by the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand with representation of Thailand to perform consular functions to safeguard and protect the interests of Thailand, particularly in economic, political, and social areas, as well as the protection of Thai nationals within his consular district.

On this occasion, Ambassador Rommanee also hosted a luncheon in honour of Mr. Park at the residence of the Ambassador. The luncheon was well attended by representatives from the Royal Thai Embassy and the heads of offices under Team Thailand. Mr. Park expressed thanks to the Ambassador and reaffirmed his readiness to serve as Honorary Consul of Thailand in Busan, to promote bilateral relations between Thailand and South Korea in all dimensions and protect Thai nationals within his consular district.

Mr. Park is a founder and chairman of Korea Development Ltd. (real estate development) and a chairman of Haeundae Beach Golf and Resort. Apart from this, Mr. Park also holds executive positions and is one of major shareholders in many businesses, such as Tourtainment Ltd., Modetour Network INC., and MBC.
