On 31 January 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK hosted a farewell dinner for Mr. Kim Byung-kwan, the 22nd Chairman of KOIMA, who will officially complete his tenure in February 2025. Mr. Stanley Park, Honorary Trade Advisor to the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, also attended the dinner.

Both sides exchanged views on the current situation and trends of Korean politics and economy, as well as Thailand-ROK bilateral trade relations. Mr. Kim expressed his intention to continue close engagement with Thailand in enhancing Thailand-ROK trade relations.
