On 19 February 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, met with Mr. Kang Hui Seok, owner of Kon Thai restaurant which having 42 branches throughout the ROK and employing a lot of Thai Chefs. Ms. Chananya Punnarugsa, Minister Counsellor on Commercial Affairs also attended in the discussion.

 

Ambassador Tanee thanked Mr. Kang for sharing grievances and providing financial support to the families of 2 Thai victims who passed away in the Jeju Air crash accident at the Muan International Airport, Jeollanam Province, for an amount of 500,000 Won each. Ambassador has learnt about Thai restaurant business achievement of Mr. Kang which is currently popular in the ROK.
