On 9 April 2024, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul, together with Mr. Nithiphat Wattanasuwakul, Labour Attaché, and Mrs. Kanticha Laicharernkit, Consul, had a meeting with Mr. Kim Daehwan, the Secretary General of the Korea Labor and Employment Service (KLES), and his delegation. On this occasion, both sides discussed the establishment of a hotline to provide advice regarding employment problems to legal workers, including (1) the case of when employers do not pay wages to employees and (2) the case of when the employees have a serious accident.

 

In addition, KLES also extended an invitation to the representatives from the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul to join the workers’ training session as speakers to give useful information to Thai workers and promote a guideline for solving employment problems at the KLES’s Training Centre in Yeoju.
