On 22 June 2024, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK led Consular Team of the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, and officers of the Thai Labour Office, Seoul, provided the 2/2024 mobile consular services at Honam University, Gwangju. Ambassador met with more than 300 Thais receiving consular services, including passport issuance, nationality related services and legalisation, birth certificate issuance, and consultation for Thai workers.

Ambassador held a meeting with Thai community leaders from Gwangju and Jeollanam-do and learned about their roles in providing assistance to the Thai community in the above-mentioned areas and on issues that the leaders asked the Embassy’s support as well as the possibility of establishing Thai associations to organise activities that help Thai people.
