The Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, is now accepting applications for participants in the Dancing Som Tam Competition and Thai Song Singing and Dancing Contest, which will take place during the Sawasdee Seoul Thai Festival 2025, held from 6–7 September 2025 at Cheonggyecheon Plaza, Seoul. Winners will receive prizes presented by the Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Korea. Details are as follows:

 

1. Dancing Som Tam Contest: We’re now accepting applications (open to all nationalities) from confident som tam masters who bring the heat, the flavor, and next-level flair — the kind that shakes the whole mortar. Each team may consist of up to 3 members. To join the competition, send your application to [email protected]. Only 8 teams will make it to the final round at the Sawasdee Seoul Thai Festival on September 6, 2025.

 

2. Thai Song Singing and Dancing Contest: We’re now accepting applications for non-Thai nationals with great vocals and show-stopping style to light up the stage. Each team may consist of up to 3 members. To join the competition, please submit a video of your Thai song performance to: [email protected] Only 5 teams will make it to the final round at the Sawasdee Seoul Thai Festival on September 7, 2025.
