On 26 October 2025, Mr. Chawadol Nipathannont, Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission, presided over as Honorary Chair of the Kathina Ceremony and the merit-making ceremony on the occasion of remembrance of the Sacrifice of Thai soldiers who dedicated themselves during the Korean War at Bhavana Gyeongju Temple. The event was also attended by Mr. Krist Mekkriengkrai, Head of the Consular Section.

Minister Chawadol took the opportunity to meet with approximately 300 members of the Thai community who participated in the event, offering them encouragement and listening to their views and experiences of living in the ROK.

The event also featured more than 60 food stalls set up by members of the Thai community, reflecting the unity and generosity of Thai people in upholding Buddhist traditions and strengthening community bonds in the ROK.
