Minister/DCM Chawadol Attends and Participates in Jogyesa Temple’s Buddha’s Birthday Dharma Ceremony

On 24 May 2026, Mr. Chawadol Nipathannont, Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, attended the “Buddha’s Birthday Dharma Ceremony” commemorating the 2570 Buddhist Era at Jogyesa Temple in Jongno-gu, Seoul. The ceremony was organized by the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism and was attended by more than 10,000 participants, including President Lee Jae-myung, distinguished figures from various sectors, religious leaders of different faiths, bereaved families of socially vulnerable groups, and Buddhist devotees, all gathered to celebrate the birth of the Buddha. During the ceremony, Minister Chawadol has participated in the flower offering ritual, one of the key ceremonies of the event, while offering wishes for peace and mutual prosperity for both Thailand and the Republic of Korea.
In his congratulatory address, Ven. Jinwoo, President of the Jogye Order, emphasized the wisdom of harmony and coexistence beyond conflict and division. Supreme Patriarch Venerable Seongpa also delivered a Dharma message encouraging all members of society to lead lives filled with happiness.
