On 15 September 2022, H.E. Ambassador Witchu Vejjajiva attended the Opening of the Jeju ASEAN Hall which was presided over by H.E. Mr. Park Jin, Foreign Minister of the ROK and H.E. Mr. Oh Young-hun, Governor of Jeju and H.E. Mr. Kim Hae-yong, Secretary-General of ASEAN-Korea Center.

 

The Jeju ASEAN Hall was launched by the ASEAN-Korea Center with the aim to promote mutual understanding among peoples of ASEAN and Jeju. The exhibition showcases the diverse cultural artifacts created by local artisans in Jeju and those from 10 ASEAN Member Countries, reflecting the significant meanings they commonly and aesthetically assign to craftsmanship as well as the beauty of everyday life.
