On 30 June 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, together with Ms. Kritsana Saeheng, Investment Attaché, were invited by SILKROAD C&T to give a special lecture to executives and employees of SILKROAD C&T, on “Thailand’s Infrastructure Policy and Construction Industry,” in order to raise awareness and provide insights into Thailand’s construction industry and infrastructure development policy among the company’s employees. This lecture was organized at the company’s Research and Development Center in Gyeonggi Province.
The Ambassador presented an overview of the Thai construction industry, highlighting the importance of major infrastructure projects, including the high-speed rail project, double-track railway project, Laem Chabang Port Phase 3 expansion, and the Samui Cruise Terminal project.
Amb.Tanee also shared his views on the opportunities and challenges for foreign companies in the Thai market, emphasizing that Thailand welcomes investment from the ROK. The Royal Thai Embassy stands ready to support Korean companies in exploring business opportunities in Thailand.
SILKROAD C&T is the largest construction technology company in the ROK and has expressed keen interest in cooperating with ASEAN countries, including Thailand. On 27 June 2025, the company opened its new factory in Samut Prakan Province, marking the beginning of its business expansion to the Thai market.
