The Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, promotes Korean investment by organizing IGNITE Thailand-Korea Business Forum 2025

The Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (I-EA-T), and Herald Media Group, jointly organized IGNITE Thailand-Korea Business Forum on 22–23 April 2025 in Seoul, to promote Korean investment in Thailand and strengthen economic partnership.
The event attracted strong participation from key Korean government agencies, major businesses, and leading investors from both countries. There were around 700 participants, exchanging in depth economic information about Thailand’s economic landscape, new investment opportunities, cross-border financial service cooperation and learning introduction of various industrial estates, financial markets, defence industry as well as building partnership with startups.
H.E. Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Deputy Minister of Commerce of Thailand, and H.E. Mr. Julapun Amornvivat, Deputy Minister of Finance of Thailand, reaffirmed the Royal Thai government’s readiness to welcome more Korean investors. Key presentations on Thailand’s business and investment environment and Thailand’s mega projects (landbridge) were delivered by high ranking representatives from economic sectors, including Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Chairman of the Board of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (I-EA-T), Dr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary-General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office of Thailand (EEC), Mr. Suksit Srichomkwan, deputy secretary-general to the prime minister, Mr. Suthiket Thatpitakkul, Deputy Secretary-General of the Board of Investment (BOI) and Dr. Soraphol Tulayasathien, Senior Executive Vice President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), as well as senior executives from Bangkok Bank and Thai Farmers Bank for instance. The Forum also featured business matching meetings, providing a valuable platform for building new partnerships.
The signing ceremony of the Letter of Intent (LoI) by Enerth, a Korean firm, on developing investment projects in biomass and EV with value of 600 million US$ in a Smart Park Industrial Estate, Rayong Province also marked a significant milestone during the event. A networking dinner, hosted by Korea Herald, for Thai participants and members of the Korea Herald's construction industry business sector, featured by a special remarks of Mr. Herald Link, President of B.Grimm Power, regarding its investment project on renewable energy in the ROK, the biggest offshore wind power investment project in the ROK.
