On 26 May 2026, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, accompanied by Mrs. Sirirat Srichat, Minister Counsellor (Labour Affairs), Mr. Krist Mekkriengkrai, Head of the Consular Section, and consular officers, visited Osan Hankook Hospital to check on a Thai worker who is currently receiving treatment for a critical condition caused by acute kidney failure and a lung infection.

The hospital reported that the patient’s condition has continued to improve steadily. Ambassador Tanee offered words of encouragement to the patient and provided essential daily amenities. The Embassy will also continue coordinating with the patient’s relatives, as well as following up on medical expense coverage and other related benefits and assistance.

The Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul would like to take this opportunity to express its sincere appreciation and admiration to all sectors of the Thai community in the ROK for their collective efforts in raising funds and providing support for the worker’s medical expenses.
