On 23 February 2022, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Charge d’affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul attended the 2022 Activities Kick Off Event of the World Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGo), chaired by Mr. Oh Se-hoon, Mayor of Seoul City, which was held at Seoul Global Center in Seoul, Republic of Korea. The event aimed to promote people-centered smart cities and to launch the WeGo Smart City Champions which will recruit youth from universities in member cities from around the world (including Krung Thep Maha Nakhon) to participate in a capacity building course in the field of sustainable urban development and smart cities.
