So Thai Festival (Thai Festival 2019 in Seoul), Cheonggye Plaza

On 20 – 21 April 2019

 

The Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul presents “So Thai Festival” as our 5th Thai Festival 2019 in Seoul at Cheonggye Plaza, on 20 – 21 April 2019.

 

This year festival’s theme focuses on the cultural trends in Thai Modern Society, portraying contemporary Thai life style, creative ideas and innovations in Thailand and the lively shades of the beauty of Traditional Thai culture.

 

The Festival most happily introduces the following:

 

Trendy Contemporary and Graffiti Artworks

An open air art exhibition from famous and upcoming Thai young artists, namely, Alex Face, Em Parkpoom and Kotchawat Buranapinyo. Glimpse into Thai artistic minds and discover the meaning of unlimited imagination of Thai art.

 

Variety of Music and Performances

Dive into the Thai electronic dance music by DJ Machina, Kalasin Province Girl Group by Praewaa GG, youth musical band Music for Fun Academy and the Thai folk music from the legendary Thai Folklore songstress Banyen Rakkaen and the melodic flute performances from Thai National Artist Tanis Sriglindee, amplifying the sense of Thai rhythm and sounds, suitable for all ages.

 

Catch an eye opening show that retelling Thai ancient literature with a new hybrid stage performance and world-class technology of Kaan Show, contrasting with the beautiful Thai traditional dances by the Thai local community in Korea.  

 

New Tourist Destination

Tourism Authority of Thailand will introduce you to New Shades and feels of new destination in Northeast Thailand represented in vivid colours by Kalasin province; Thailand’s own land before time and the legend of Thai silk. Kalasin province is known for its fertile and picturesque landscapes, lush nature, artistic people and friendliness typical to Isan region. Come get familiarised and enjoy what Kalasin province and Northeastern Thailand has to offer.

Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce of Thailand invites everyone to come taste the selected 9 Thai restaurants, 8 Thai products companies and 7 Thai Designers to spoil you with delicious food and cool and cute products.
