The Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, Organises the 6/2026 Mobile Consular Services in Yeosu

On 8–9 August 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, organised mobile consular services in Yeosu to provide consular services and legal briefings to the Thai community at Yeosu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with support from Jeonnam Eastern Immigration Foreign Support Center and the Thai community in Yeosu.

During the 6/2026 Mobile Consular Services, a total of 323 Thai nationals received consular services, including 136 passport applications, 158 Thai ID card applications, and 29 civil registration and document legalisation services.

On this occasion, Mrs. Sirirat Srichart, Labour Attaché, and Mr. Krist Mekkriengkrai, Head of Consular Section, met with Thai nationals who attended the mobile consular services. They also visited Thai workers at a vegetable farm and a factory in Yeosu to enquire about their well-being and working conditions.

In addition, Mrs. Sirirat and Mr. Krist held discussions with Mr. Kim Munseong, Member of Jeonnam-Gwangju Special Metropolitan Council, and Mrs. Park Sukhee, Member of Yeosu City Council, on cooperation in promoting well-being and protection of Thai workers and the Thai community in Yeosu.
