On 29 April 2021 the 6th meeting of the Committee of the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) of Thailand approved a new regulation elevating the quarantine period back to 14 days for all travelers entering Thailand (both Thai nationals and foreign nationals) from every country regardless of nationality or vaccination. The conditions are as follows:
1. Travelers who obtain a Certificate of Entry (COE) after 1 May 2021 must be quarantined for no less than 14 days.
2. Travelers who obtain a Certificate of Entry (COE) before 1 May 2021 must be quarantined as follows (1) Those arriving in Thailand between 1 – 5 May 2021 can still quarantine for either 7, 10, or 14 days; (2) Those arriving in Thailand from 6 May 2021 onwards must be quarantined for no less than 14 days.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently updating the online COE system so that COEs will state the period of quarantine, according to the aforementioned conditions. Travelers can download a new COE corresponding with their travel dates and new quarantine period from coethailand.mfa.go.th .
