On 12 December 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Korea, met with Mr. Park Myung-jin, Honorary Consul of Thailand in Busan, and Mr. Yang Jae-sang, President of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Ambassador Tanee highlighted Thailand’s mega infrastructure projects such as High-Speed Rail Linking Three Airports, Bangkok-Vientiane High Speed Rail link, Suvarnabhumi airport expansion project, Laem Chabang Deep Sea Port and Koh Samui's cruise terminal, as well as business and investment opportunities for Korean companies, including those in Busan.

The two sides exchanged views on ways to deepen trade and investment cooperation between Thailand and Busan, as well as potential collaboration in mutually beneficial sectors.
The Ambassador also underscored the important role of the Honorary Consulate in Busan in providing support and assistance to Thai nationals residing in the city as well as reinforcing people-to-people ties and cooperation between Thailand and the Republic of Korea.
