On 11 May 2026, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Korea, met with The Hon. Kwak Sang-eon, Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea for Jongno-gu, to discuss cultural cooperation issues and to request the Assemblyman's support for the upcoming 2026 Sawasdee Seoul Thai Festival at Cheonggye Plaza in Jongno-gu which will be held on 20-21 June 2026. The Ambassador and the Assemblyman also discussed Thai-ROK bilateral relations and cooperation, including the exchange of high-level visits between both sides. The Ambassador thanked Assemblyman Kwak for his support for the Thai Festival and exchanged views with the Assemblyman on the upcoming local elections, including the Seoul mayoral election.
