On 23 July 2024, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, attended the Asalha Bucha Day - Buddhist Lent Day and presided over the ceremony to celebrate a royal appointment of the Priest’s title of Phrakru Vides Dhammakanaporn (Nukool Teerawaro), the abbot of Bhavana Gyeongju Temple Bhavana Gyeongju Temple, Gyeongju City, North Gyeongsang Province.
The main Buddhist activities were conducted including praying, celebrating on the appointment of the Priest’s title of the abbot, and offering candles. Ambassador took the opportunity to greet and inquire about the well-being of the Thai Buddhist community who attended the event.
