On 10 July 2024, Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, met with Mr. Steve Hamilton, the Chief of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to the ROK.

Ambassador Tanee requested IOM’s support in case the Ministry of Justice of the ROK implements the Voluntary Return Program for illegal migrants again this year. This program will help Thai illegal immigrants to voluntarily return to Thailand in which the IOM agreed to support.
