On 7 February 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, met with Mr. Chung Moonhun, Mayor of Jongno District, Seoul, to express the Embassy’s appreciation for the district’s support in providing the venue for Sawasdee Seoul Thai Festival 2024:
T-Pop Story. The discussion was focused on ways to enhance more cultural exchanges between the Thailand and the ROK, especially on people- to-people level through key activities, including the upcoming Sawasdee Seoul Thai Festival 2025 (10th Thai Festival), which is scheduled to showcase Thailand’s soft power grandly in September 2025.
Ambassador Tanee presented a box of Nam Dok Mai mango which is one of the most popular mangos of Thailand and is easily to buy in the ROK as a token of appreciation to the Mayor, as part of ongoing efforts to promote and increase more popularity of Thai mangoes in the ROK.
