On October 20, 2024, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, presided over the Kathina ceremony, as the Honorary Head of the ceremony at Bhavana Seoul Temple, Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province in which Thai, Korean, and Singaporean Buddhists also attended.

Ambassador Tanee informed the Thai community that the Embassy is delivering new Thai passports to the applicants who applied for their new passports during the special Passport Mobile Service. He also encouraged Thai illegal immigrants in the ROK to join special voluntary return programme of the KIS in order to get fine exemption and thanked Thai community who joined and supported the Sawasdee Seoul Thai Festival 2024: T-Pop Story during 5-6 October 2024 at Cheonggyecheon Plaza in Seoul.
