On 12 December 2023, H.E. Witchu Vejjajiva welcomed Hon. Pichet Chuamuangphan, Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Thailand, and a delegation composed of Members of the House of Representatives and other officials from the Secretariat of the House of Representatives during their official visit to the Republic of Korea. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the relations and cooperation between the legislatures of both countries, and to undertake a study visit to learn best practices on improving security measures for the Parliament House of Thailand.

 

On this occasion, the Ambassador gave a briefing for the Deputy Speaker and his delegation on the key issues of ROK’s foreign policy and relations with Thailand and key issues concerning the National Assembly of the ROK. After the meeting, the Embassy arranged a programme for the Deputy Speaker and his delegation to pay a courtesy call on Hon. Kim Young-joo, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and exchange best practices on a range of issues, and conducted a study tour of the National Assembly.
