On 21 December 2021, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Charge d’affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul together with the Ambassadors from the Mekong Members Countries in ROK attended the Mekong – ROK Post COVID-19 Mutual Exchange Recovery Workshop, under the theme “From Pandemic to Recovery: How to promote Mekong – ROK Social and Cultural Cooperation” with an aim to commemorate the Mekong- ROK Exchange Year 2021 – 2022, organised by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of ROK at the Westin Josun Hotel in Seoul.

The workshop was chaired by H.E. Mr. Seung-Bae Yeo, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of ROK and focused on 3 topics of discussion, which are (1) promotion of cultural reciprocity (2) promotion of cooperation in e-learning and (3) promotion of tourism exchange between Mekong and ROK.  On this occasion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of ROK invited experts from the Mekong member countries and ROK to participate and discuss on a possible cooperation on the said topics.
