Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Attends the Opening Ceremony of ASEAN-Korea Startup Week 2026

On 20 October 2026, Mr. Chawadol Nipathannont, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, together with ambassadors and representatives from ASEAN member states in the Republic of Korea, was invited by the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) to attend the opening ceremony of the ASEAN-Korea Startup Week 2026 at the OnDream Society in Seoul.

Chargé d’Affaires a.i. met with representatives of three selected Thai startups to participate in the ASEAN-Korea Startup Week 2026 programme, namely Nano Coating Tech, which specialises in protective nanocoatings for solar panels; ThaiCloud, which provides a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform to improve packing operations in warehouses; and Reezlive, which offers an AI-powered live commerce platform.

The ASEAN-Korea Centre launched the ASEAN-Korea Startup Week as an annual initiative since 2018. The programme aims to connect the startup ecosystems of ASEAN member states and the Republic of Korea and provide opportunities for capacity-building and networking through various activities. These activities include business matching between ASEAN startups and Korean investors and accelerators; Demo Day, which allows startups to showcase their business models to investors; exhibiting products and services at the Future Innovation Tech eXpo 2026, held at EXCO (Daegu Exhibition & Convention Center) in Daegu; and various networking activities. This year, 28 startups from ASEAN Member States participated in this four-day programme.
