On 22 July 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, met with Ms. Patcharin Chuensri, President of the Nuadthai Volunteer Association in the ROK, and delegation to discuss preparation for joining the upcoming Sawasdee Seoul Thai Festival 2025, which is scheduled to take place on 6-7 September 2025 at Cheonggye Plaza in Seoul. During the festival, the association will operate a booth and organize demonstrations of Thai traditional massage, which has been listed by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage.

Ambassador Tanee congratulated on the occasion of the Association’s six-month establishment anniversary. He also commended the Association as the 1st Thai community, officially registered in the ROK. The ambassador noted that the association serves as a model for other Thai communities, to form their own associations which will help build networks and strengthen unity among Thai nationals in the ROK.

The Ambassador and the President of the Nuadthai Volunteer Association in the ROK presented certificates of appreciation to supporters and volunteer students who assisted the Association during the 1st Naud Thai and Thai Cultural Festival in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province, which was successfully held on 29 March 2025.
