On 11 December 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, presided over a meeting between the Royal Thai Embassy and the Thai Associations in the ROK on strengthening the Thai community. Representatives from the Nuad Thai Volunteer Association of the ROK, the Thai Students Association in the ROK, the Thai Friendship Center in Gimhae, the Thai Women’s Council of the ROK, the Thai Cultural Council of the ROK, representatives of the Thai community in Jeju Island, and consular volunteers attended the meeting both in person at the Embassy and online.

Ambassador Tanee briefed the meeting on the Embassy’s activities related to the Thai community in the ROK, including (1) mobile consular services, (2) the IGNITE Thailand–Korea Business Forum, Bangkok (3) support for organizing Thai markets and the establishment of a Thai Town, (4) Thailand–Cambodia relations, (5) the protection of Thai nationals, and (6) the promotion of international trade.

The Thai Associations in the ROK presented its accomplishments in 2025 and its work plan for 2026. The Embassy expressed its full support for the operations of Thai associations in the ROK and encouraged all associations to support one another in order to further strengthen the Thai community.
