On 11 January 2024, Mr. Sathirawat Ponnark, Vice President Operations of Thai Vietjet Air, along with executives of the airline, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, during their visit to the ROK for meetings with Korean aviation and tourism authorities. On this occasion, the Vice President introduced Thai Vietjet Air’s current operations and its plan to commence flights between Thailand and the ROK, and requested support from the Embassy during the commencement process. The Ambassador expressed readiness to support the airline in the necessary procedures, as well as to discuss potential cooperation between the Embassy and Thai Vietjet Air, such as in the Embassy’s annual Thai Festival and other future activities.
