On 11 November 2021 Mrs. Pimpiree Maneeratana, Minister Counsellor, attended the opening ceremony of ASEM Food Court at Jeju International Convention Center, Jeju Province, on behalf of the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul. The Food Court consists of restaurants from countries in Asia and Europe such as Thailand, Vietnam, and Croatia. On this occasion, Minister Counsellor Pimpiree delivered congratulatory remarks emphasizing Thailand's determination to develop the quality of its food and agricultural products for export, in tandem with Thailand's Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and the Bio-Circular-Green-Economic Model (BCG Model). Moreover, the Department of International Trade Promotion under the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand presents Thai SELECT certifications to Thai restaurants overseas whose food is of authentic Thai taste and prepared with original Thai ingredients. Hopefully this newly-opened ASEM Food Court will also play a part in further promoting cultural relations between Thailand and South Korea.
