On 12 September 2026, the Thai Student Association in the Republic of Korea (TSAK), in cooperation with the Royal Thai Embassy, hosted the “First Meet: Fall 2026: Y2K Way to Korea!” at the Ambassador’s Residence. The event aimed to provide a platform for Thai students to exchange knowledge and experiences on education and life in the ROK, as well as to build connections and strengthen the Thai student community across the country. Approximately 150 students attended the event.

H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, delivered the opening remarks and words of encouragement to the Thai students. He emphasized the value of studying and living abroad and encouraged all Thai students to make the most of their time in the ROK by gaining knowledge, experiences, and new perspectives through their academic and personal journeys. He also wished them success in bringing these valuable experiences back to further contribute to the development of Thailand and Thai society in the future.

During the event, participants had the opportunity to get to know one another and exchange experiences on studying and living in the ROK. They also had the chance to build networks and strengthen friendships among Thai students from different parts of the country. The event was held in a warm, friendly, and enjoyable atmosphere, with participants also sharing a dinner together.

The Royal Thai Embassy is fully committed to supporting the TSAK and serving as a reliable source of support for all Thai students. Whether they need assistance with daily life, education, or encounter difficulties requiring support, the Royal Thai Embassy stands ready to provide assistance and protection to Thai students to the fullest extent of its capacity.
