On 19 October 2022, Ambassador Witchu Vejjajiva met with H.E. Mr. Park Minshik, Minister of Patriots and Veternas Affairs of the Republic of Korea (MPVA). The Ambassador expressed his appreciation to MPVA for continually organizing activities to commemorate the bravery of the Thai veterans who participated in the Korean War and support their well-being, as well as the well-being of their descendants, and providing financial support for the renovation of the Korean War Memorial and Museum inside the 21st Infantry Regiment in Chonburi, Thailand. The two sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation, including activities to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice Agreement. The Ambassador also took this opportunity to invite Minister Park to visit Thailand on the occasion of the 65th Anniversary of the establishment of Thailand-ROK diplomatic relations in 2023.
