On 2 September 2022, Mr. Kim Daehwan, Chairman of the Global EV Association Network (GENE) and the International Electric Vehicle Expo (IEVE) paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, to extend an invitation for the Ambassador to attend the 1st Electric & Autonomous Agriculture Expo and the 10th International Electric Vehicle Expo, hosted by IEVE in Jeju in November 2022 and May 2023, respectively. On this occasion, Ambassador emphasized the potential of Thailand’s EV market, which welcomes investment from the ROK in sectors not only related to cars, but also other types of EV vehicles, such as motorcycles, tricycles, and trucks, as well as their parts and components. In response, Chairman Kim expressed readiness to help promote the Thai EV market to investors in the ROK’s EV industry going forward.
