The Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul, in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Seoul Office), the Department of International Trade Promotion (Seoul Office), the Thai Cultural Council in Korea (Seoul), the Myeongdong Merchants Association, and Hana Bank, cordially invites Thai nationals, Koreans, and people of all nationalities to join “The 1st Loy Krathong Myeongdong with Hana Bank”, to be held on 19–20 September 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Hana Play Park, located in front of Hana Bank Headquarters in Myeongdong, Seoul.

This event marks the first-ever Loy Krathong celebration in Myeongdong, one of Korea’s most prominent commercial and tourism districts. The event aims to showcase Thailand’s rich cultural heritage, strengthen people-to-people ties between Thailand and the Republic of Korea, and promote Thailand’s soft power through a variety of cultural activities and experiences.

Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the charm and beauty of the Loy Krathong Festival through contemporary cultural performances inspired by Thai traditions, interactive cultural workshops, and hands-on activities that offer a unique glimpse into Thai culture. The event will also feature Thai food tasting sessions and cultural experience booths suitable for participants of all ages.

The Royal Thai Embassy warmly welcomes everyone to be part of this special occasion and celebrate the enduring friendship between Thailand and the Republic of Korea while experiencing the spirit of one of Thailand’s most beloved cultural traditions in the heart of Seoul.
