H.E. Mr. Chung Eui-yong, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (ROK), will pay an official visit to Thailand on 26 - 28 August 2021 as guest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand to strengthen the Strategic Partnership between Thailand and the ROK.

This will be H.E. Mr. Chung Eui-yong's first visit to Thailand since assuming office as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the ROK in February 2021. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the ROK is scheduled to have a meeting with H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and pay a courtesy call on H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha (Ret.), Prime Minister of Thailand, at the Government House.

Both sides will discuss how to further enhance Thailand-ROK partnership, focusing in particular on partnership for green growth and the environment, public health, and development of future industries with a view to supporting economic and social recovery in the post-COVID-19 pandemic. They will also exchange views on regional issues of mutual interests.

The arrangements for the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the ROK and his delegation during their stay in Thailand will be in strict compliance with the country’s COVID-19 prevention measures.
