On 13 January 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, organized a Buddhist merit-making ceremony to pay tribute on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King attaining the same age as King Rama I, who was the founder of the Royal House of Chakri, on 14 January 2025 at the Thai Ambassador Residence, Seoul.

The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Thai Ambassador to the ROK and was attended by Heads and officials of Team Thailand in Seoul, their spouses, and the Thai community in the ROK.
