Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK Visits 102 Thai Workers at the Education Center, Korea Labor Foundation Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province

On 21 August 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, along with Mrs. Sirirat Srichart, Labor Attaché, Miss Winittri Ponpaha, Assistant Labor Attaché, and Mr. Krist Mekkriengkrai, Head of the Consular Section, visited 102 Thai workers at the Education Center, Korea Labor Foundation Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province. These Thai workers, holding E-9 visas, are required to undergo a three-day health check-up and training before starting work with their respective employers in the Republic of Korea.

Ambassador Tanee welcomed the Thai workers to the Republic of Korea and encouraged them to work diligently, save money, be united, avoid vices, take care of their health, and be cautious in their work to prevent accidents. Many Thai workers have suffered injuries or lost limbs due to workplace accidents. Additionally, the Ambassador provided information about the Embassy's mission and contact channels, emphasizing the Embassy's readiness to fully assist all Thai workers in the Republic of Korea.

On this occasion, Ambassador Tanee met with Mr. Kim Ha-Young, Director-General, International Labor Bureau, Ministry of Employment and Labor of the Republic of Korea, to promote and strengthen labor cooperation between Thailand and the Republic of Korea.
