On 20 June 2023, Ambassador Witchu Vejjajiva met with Mr. Kang Sung Ghil, Vice President of the Daegu Foundation for Culture & Arts, to discuss Daegu’s best practices for developing its tourism industry. The Vice President conveyed Daegu City’s determination to promote the city through creative contents that present unique tourism experiences in local attractions related to K-Pop, select local cuisine and shopping districts. On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed readiness to help promote cooperation between the tourism sectors of the two countries as well as to pass information on the city’s new airport development to concerned airlines for consideration to enhance connectivity, as requested by the Vice President.
